OK, October is just this weekend and thereafter begins the execution of my PROMISE to the girls, that is paint their room PINK! Hence Project Pinky.
I read somewhere that little girl's love to spend time in their bedrooms. It's their own little place, home within a home, where they can dream. I think I'm gonna have more fun decorating the girls room than them, heh! I can picture hanging a beaded curtain screen on the door, kinda like entering into another exotic world, a desk with cute hello kitty table lamp, feminine coloured bedsheets, a cabinet to keep their story books, and so much more. Early this year, I have already changed their room's wall lights with a cute love shaped light and two other lights with flower motifs drawn on the glass.
So, this weekend, I am going to the hardware shop and get two complementing colours. I am thinking of a pinkish off-white and maybe a sweet lilac or fresh bright green for a feature wall. At present, I am biased towards lilac. Gosh, is that my feminine side talking? Arrgh!
I'm giving myself a Deepavali deadline i.e. must finish painting by 21/9. After that, Mrs B and I will go look for their beds. Nothing fancy but a bed that they can sleep on up to the day they kahwin, heh! Talk about Papa Kedekut! :P
