SueAnne's injection

At a corner of the paeditrician' s clinic, SueAnne was playing in the small Tiny Tykes tunnel with her sister, Suzanne. The queue was quite long so she had a jolly good time crawling in and out of that tunnel. Soon, it was her turn to see Dr Flo. She was the paed that treated SueAnne for pneumonia a few months ago. Apart from a follow-up check, SueAnne was due for her 12 month jab.

To take her attention away from the incoming needle, we gave her a very expensive toy, Mrs B's Sony Ericson handphone! Yes, SueAnne has this fixation with handphones. Whenever mine or Mrs B's rang, she will clamber up on us and try to take the handphone for herself, wailing on top of her voice and disturbing our tele-conversation.

Back to the needle, Dr Flo gave her a quick injection at the butt. Almost immediately...

SueAnne's expression changed to "cry baby cry", and Mrs B comforted her as much as she could. My heart ached seeing her cry but what to do? It's for her own good. Go on doc, cucuk that MMR in. Then, as quickly as it began, she stopped crying. I think she cried for only 15 seconds, tops.

Well well well, looks like my girl has inherited her daddy's thick buaya skin, hor? :P

Belacans says... "fair yet thick skin, good hor?"

i wonder sometimes if ppl think we are mad for taking photo in situations like this? or any where for tat matter? There was this place i took a couple of pixs in a coffee shop and the ppl there can't make head or tail on what i'm doing, i half expected being shouted at for doing tat. cheers!

is brave of she.... guess the handphone did the trick.

Seems to me a very akward way of giving an injection with the kid standing and the jab so close to the midline adjacent to the anal opening. Wouldnt it be better if she were to lie down on her side on the couch ? At least you can get a firmer restraint when she moves.
