Last Saturday, the Belacan family sent their trusty Toyota Altis for it's 25,000km service at Toyota's PJ showroom and service centre. All I can say is "Wow! Way to go Toyota!" Their showroom has been nicely renovated, and more to come as the service area is still being renovated. Heck, the Belacan family got to sit on nice leather seats and were served free coffee and milo while waiting for our car. Nice ;)
As usual, my testosterone was working overtime when I am around gleaming cars. It's those curves... and the smell. Ohh lala! My senses were thingling as I move my fingers over... and felt its skin of leather... Mama mia!
Hehehe, I was like a big kid, hopping from one car to another with baby Sueanne in my arms and Suzanne in tow. Whenever I am in a cabin, Sueanne would be trying to reach either the steering wheel or the gear knob. A bit of an eager beaver, isn't she? And Suzanne, being the gal with class, would always try the back seats first. Looks like her future hubby better afford a chauffeur for her....
As for me, I was slurping over the Hilux... oooo, the muscles.... oooo, the powerrrrr! If Belacan gets this vehicle, I would put a bright bumper sticker which yells out "WARNING! Certified Kancil and Kenari Killer Inside!". Am I going to stop there? Noooooo! Not when I am having so much fun thinking out all this crap. I'll then commission some Cheras paint workshop to emblazone over the bonnet my trademark "Muahahahar!" in bright red. Cool eh?
Sadly, that is never gonna happen. Why? Coz after 7 years of marriage, Mrs B has turned me into a pragmatic family man.... *silently, the inner man is sobbing away...* ;)
Thus Belacan was looking for a more family friendly vehicle to trade-in his 8 year old Wira 1.5, and just then he spied a brochure for the yet-to-be launched Toyota Innova. What caught me was its caption "Toyota Innova - Got Class" - hahahaha! Toyota really "Got Balls" to make such a war cry. But really, I can't wait to test drive the Innova when it's launched this Friday 27 May. It's really gonna make the existing Unser look incredibly dated. (Toyota Unser owners, be warned!) And the price? The website state that the top end 2.0 litre petrol automatic can be yours for RM102,900.
So... should I? But really, tell me what am I going to do with an 8 seater?
Here's a funny review of the Innova by Bijoy Kumar, India.
Belacan's inner boy says... "Gimme the Kancil and Kenari Killer anytime! Muahahahar!"

Wah, future planning? Getting an 8-seater in preparation for more new arrivals? From my experience, if you don't need that many seats, don't commit to a huge tank. It is a chore to drive a 7-seater (my Naza Ria) around town.
i read your comments at my blog, i know! what a coincidence! i think it looks sportier than unser (which will probably be discontinued), price also quite competitive...
These days, my heart would skip a beat when someone mention (or blog) about Innova. Won't go to any showroom the first few weeks after it is launched as I can imagine the crowd...as I wanna fix all my soon-to-be 3 kids carseats in the back rows, baru puas hati. Anyway, I take 5xmom advise before making any commitment. Looking forward to your review, though!
the 8 seater is to fetch your blogger friends down to the pps birthday bash ;D:D
aiyah, who knows there might be more belacan jrs.. right?:)
With that height, you really need to bend down to see a Kancil that is in front of you.
Haha, make more kids. Eventually those seats'll fill up.
